It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly six months since we launched the Bridge and by extension our resource page! We’ve been thrilled to fill this space with engaging content from our dedicated staff, including insightful blogs and newsletters covering various topics. We genuinely hope you’ve enjoyed exploring everything we’ve compiled thus far.
Our content is designed with two keygoals: first, to support your personal growth and maturity as you learn how toapply Christ’s teachings, the Gospel, and the Scriptures in your daily life. Second, we desire to be a reliable resource, empowering you to share these insights confidently with friends, colleagues, and all those seeking a thoughtful Christian perspective.
In his remarkable work, Foundations for Soul Care: A Christian Psychology Proposal, Christian psychologist Eric Johnson explores different approaches to integrating psychology with faith. He describes “weak integration,” where psychological concepts are validated through Scripture without a comprehensive biblical interpretation, potentially placing Christianity and psychology on a level playing field.
Conversely, “strong integration” emphasizes interpreting psychological insights within a Christian framework that prioritizes biblical teachings. This rich approach allows us to view psychology through the lens of faith, affirming or evaluating its findings based on Scripture.
One of our core commitments as an organization devoted to a biblically grounded and clinically informed counseling approach is to ensure that our resources exemplify strong integration, not weak integration. We want you to feel assured that every aspect of our perspective on psychology is rooted in biblical truth. Our ultimate goal is for Christ and His Word to shape everything we create.
Our dedication to this strong integration approach to Christian psychology puts our content in rarer company. While we understand that not every piece we produce will resonate with everyone, we hope you recognize our sincere efforts to uphold this vision. We are committed to maintaining the centrality of the Gospel and biblical fidelity, steering clear of the temptations of pop or secular psychology and its theories influenced by merely human-centered philosophies to drive our content.
As we move forward, we are genuinely excited to continue serving you in ways that help deepen and refine your relationship with Jesus. Your faith journey is essential to us, and we can’t wait to share more valuable resources that inspire, uplift, and encourage you along the way. Thank you for being part of our community, and we look forward to evolving and growing together!
