Caring for others through the comfort we receive…
THE GOD OF COMFORT
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. He comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ overflow to us, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation. If we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings that we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that as you share in the sufferings, so you will also share in the comfort. – 2 Corinthians 1:3-7 (CSB)
Our Practice
Bridgehaven is a para-church counseling practice started, in 2012, for the purpose of providing gospel-centered, clinically-informed, biblical counseling to individuals, couples, and families. While Bridgehaven was started by The Summit Church, it operates as a separate 501(c)(3) organization. Bridgehaven is currently located near the Brier Creek area of RDU, and offers both in-office and virtual counseling services, both locally and globally.
Our Practitioners
Bridgehaven counselors have both a strong theological foundation and the ability to apply evidenced-based best-practices to complex situations. Even more so, we are counselors who have a love for Jesus, a love for people, and a personal calling to serve as a part of a donation-based counseling practice. For us, Bridgehaven is a ministry. Here, we have the privilege to share the hope of the Gospel through the clinically-informed biblical care we provide.
Candidates
Both licensed and non-licensed counselors currently serve through Bridgehaven. We are looking to hire 1-2 counselors who have the ability to primarily see pre-marital and married couples, but who can also see individuals as a secondary part of their caseload. We are also looking to hire 1-2 counselors who will see mainly individual female and/or male clients dealing with a range of presenting concerns, such as: complex-trauma; problematic emotions; addictive and/or disordered behaviors and/or coping; abuse; etc. Each counselor will start part-time, with the opportunity to increase to a full-time caseload (25 sessions/week), depending on their skill and experience. Candidates who represent minority populations and/or who speak a secondary language other than English are strongly encouraged to apply.
